Join New York Adventure Club as we take a private, behind-the-scenes tour of Jeffrey’s Hook lighthouse; erected in 1880 and moved to its current site in 1921, this lighthouse has become widely known as the children’s literary landmark “The Little Red Lighthouse.”
Led by an Urban Park Ranger, our once-a-year experience will include:
- An overview of the Washinton Heights neighborhood as we walk down a winding trail to Fort Washington Park.
- A discussion around the history of the Little Red Lighthouse with an opportunity to hold the one key that opens it.
- Private access inside and on top of the famed lighthouse, which is only granted to NY Adventure Club once a year.
